 Welcome to Clevedon School

 REFLECTIVE                  CONNECTED                  RESILIENT

Greetings,

Firstly a warm, warm welcome to Clevedon School and thank you for considering and choosing our school community as the place for your child to receive their education.

Our aim at Clevedon School is to provide an excellent education for all our children in a caring, happy atmosphere.  We want children to feel secure to develop self-confidence in a supportive, busy and active environment where learning is central to all we do. We are focused on developing learners who can self-manage and articulate where they are at in their learning and what their next steps are. We provide opportunities across all essential learning areas for our children to self-assess, peer asses and both give and receive feedback.

Our children are encouraged to work and play together, to share and to respect others.  Clevedon School strives to be a place where both children and staff enjoy working in harmony together.  We have high expectations for all children and we want each of them to work hard to realise their personal potential.  We recognise and celebrate children’s diverse abilities, interests, and ethnicity, and aim to provide wide ranging programmes to meet these individual needs. We enjoy celebrating the progress and achievement of each student.

The Board of Trustees would also like to welcome you to our Clevedon School community.

We are proud of our school’s heritage - recently celebrating 150 years of education in the district.

Our location and setting offers students the opportunity to experience rural traditions and values, but with a thoroughly modern approach to teaching and learning. As the school community’s elected representatives, it is the role of the Board of Trustees to work with the Principal and staff to ensure student achievement is our foremost priority, and this is our collective commitment to you as parents of Clevedon School.

We encourage and welcome you, the extended whanau of this school, to become involved, and to work in partnership with us to ensure the best possible education for your child.

Kind Regards
