This term so far we are focusing on Integrity.
To understand what integrity meant we watched a story called "The empty pot".

When Room 14 discussed this story we started to understand that integrity meant being honest and doing the right thing.  We really enjoyed this story.  If you would like to see the story as well please click on the picture below.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK

This term we are learning about the different roles people have.

This week we invited Mrs Frizzell to come and talk to us about her role as a B.O.T member.  We asked her some tricky questions and learnt lots about how the B.O.T helps the school and the students.

BEES

This term we are also learning about Bees.  We are very excited because we have lots of people in our class who can help us learn more about bees!

We would like to thank William for bringing in some things to show us about bees ... like bee wax and more key facts
.

MAORI

Every Monday we have Maori ... we really enjoy learning how to say colours and our names in Maori.  Soon we'll learn how to say shapes too!  Scroll down to see a few photos from one of our sessions.

PROSE FINALS

On Friday the 27th of May we had our Poetry and Prose finals in the hall.  There were so many finalists from the Totara Team ... and it was a hard job for Sandra Hyde to decide the winners ...!

Room 14 did really well with all our prose ... Miss Nair was amazed with the way everyone had learnt them and put so much effort into them!

We would like to congratulate Charlotte Abbott and Toby Wheeler for making it to the finals.  Charlotte came 2nd place and Toby received a highly commended award!  Nice work!
