Saint Patrick’s Day

Ireland is a mystical, magical place.

Land of the little people

And you have to believe to see them.

Saint Patrick’s Day by Scarlett.

We have to wear clothes that are green on Saint Patrick’s Day. On Saint Patrick’s Day everybody in every country celebrates Ireland.

Ireland is a good country. After all the people came to the country and took over the world, all of the Irish living there had to go to another country and live in that country for ever.

I love Saint Patrick’s Day. It made me smile.

If you find a 4 leaf clover it will bring you good luck and Saint Patrick’s Day is a celebration of Ireland.

You wear green clothes. Saint Patrick talked about God as the trinity with the shamrock. If you find a leprechaun never take your eyes off the leprechaun, he will disappear but if you don’t take your eyes off the leprechaun he will give his money to you.  Leprechauns are bad and will play heaps of tricks on you.

They drink heaps of Guinness.

I like Saint Patrick’s Day.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a special celebration where you have to dress up in green to celebrate Saint Patrick’s because he drove all the snakes away. Now there are no snakes in Ireland but he could of driven the leprechauns away too but he didn’t so there are only a few left.

I like Saint Patrick’s Day. Next time I want to do the same again.

If you find a four leaf clover you have good luck. People drink lots of beer. There are little people. They try really hard not to be seen. The little people may be a little bit evil. If you catch a leprechaun he must give you his gold. On Saint Patrick’s Day you wear green stuff like stilts and wigs and facepaint.

I wore a green T-shirt and an elf hat with big ears. It was really fun because you can wear mufti and wear green because it is my favourite colour.

Saint Patrick’s Day by Harry

On Saint Patrick’s Day people wear green. There were no snakes in Ireland. They say “Top of the morning to ya.”  But in a different way.  I can speak the language of it but Ryan E is better than me. Saint Patrick is dead now. Leprechauns live in Ireland. A shamrock is a three leaf clover. A 4 leaf clover gives you good luck. If you ever catch a leprechaun, if you look away then he will vanish away with his gold. But if you still look at him he will give his gold away which is not good for Leprechauns. Leprechauns are a bit evil Ireland is famous for beer and ice-cream too. I like Ice-cream. Each year Leprechauns get one piece of gold.

Saint Patrick’s Day is the 17th of March with lots of green dresses or clothes.  Also they have the famous beer in the world and they have a symbol called a harp and no snakes. The animals are the same as in England. Leprechauns are really tricky so look and look at him and do not take your eyes off him. I think that the flag is green for the green lands. White is for the clouds. Orange is for the bright sun. I wonder what the famous beer tastes like.  What does the famous beer look like? It is the famous thing.

Leprechauns are very special and very tricky too and Ireland celebrates on the 17th March. Leprechauns have pots of gold and Saint Patrick’s Day is very special too for little people. Some Irish people travel to NZ and Africa too. Families and mothers and brothers and sisters, granddads and grans too because people are taking over Ireland and Ireland is too sad and they sing.
