Cross Country 2011

I have the belly wobbles

I have the belly jellies

I am at the finish line

I see my mum in the crowd

And finish number 9.

By Scarlett

I am at the starting line

I am thinking how hard

I will be running, running, running

And thinking I am nearly at the finish line.

Running Poem

Run, run, run

The hot, hot sun

Up and down running fast

Beating my brother Jacob

by Alyssa

I was sick

but cheered on and on

the reason I came

I cheered for Olivia, Sophie

Kara won first place

And Sophie came second

By Sophie K

I have the belly wobbles

I have the jelly wobbles

I am feeling really sick

Running round the field

For races is just too quick

by Room 9

I am at the starting line

I hear the whistle blow

I start my climb to the top of the hill

Running my way home

by Kezia

I am running round the field

I am huffing, huffing

I have the jelly wobbles

And I am near the finish line

When I went up the hill it felt like I am not moving

But when I went down it felt like I was flying.

By Pippa

I’m running a race

I feel like I’m up the hill

I’m running in 5th place

I’m near the finish

I’m very near the lead

I’m running fast

I feel well

Especially when

The first 4 runners fell.

By Amy

I am running, running, running.

I am running everywhere

I am running up and down

I am running past my friends

I win the cross country

I feel very sick

My legs hurt

I feel like Moby Dick

By Harry

I am running, running, running

I am running up the hill

Now I'm huffing, huffing, puffing,

And I think I’m standing still

by Olivia

I am running, running, running.

I am feeling quite sick

I want to stop but I want to win the cup

But I am feeling too sick

And running too quick by Jake W.

I am running, running, running.

I am running up the hill

Now I'm huffing, puffing, huffing,

I am feeling really sick

And I think I need a pill.

By Liam

Ready, Set. Go

When the starter said, “Go”

They go

They never said, “No”

They run up and run down

When they go down

They had no control

Down the hill they roll

1st Nolly Lolly

2nd Jam Jelly

3rd Juicy Lucy

With a cheer yeah, yeah, yeah

I hope to be back next year.

By Felix

I have the belly wobbles
I have the jelly wobbles
I am running, running, running.
I am happy because I’m coming second
I get the cross country tickles
And I am running in prickles.
 By Sophie M

I am running, running, running.

I am feeling quite sick

I want to stop but I want to win

The trophy so quick, quick, quick

I’m almost finished, I want to sprint

I want to stop but I want to win

I need a hint.

I am so hot

I am burning like a fire

I am running before I expire.

 Run, run, run

In the hot, hot sun

Running fast

What a blast

by Connor

 I started at the line

I run, I run, I run, I run

In the hot, hot sun

And I am very proud

by Reuben

Running is really fun
Fun to be fast
Down the hill

I hear the whistle blow
All the racers go
 I am running so fast
I won’t come last
By Bruno

I was at the starting line
I heard the whistle blow
I ran and ran up the hill
And then I ran back down
I ran round the soccer goal
I ran round the trees
I raced to the finish line
Finishing number three
by Henry

This the race that I ran
I ran like a superman
Then I got tired
I am wild
