Welcome to Room 2

  Term Two 2011

 What fun we had!

Featured below are our wonderful leaders of our School. This term has been a busy term for them all.
In the middle of Term Two they organised a House Chant Competition where all the four houses in the
school competed against each another to see who would win the House Chant Cup. The House leaders
for each House and other co-opted members from Kohwai Team had to come up with an original house
chant as well as a creative myth about their house bird which involved all of their house members. After
three weeks of practice the day finally arrived and the school was a hive of activity. Students from all
four houses as well as teachers, dressed up in house colours ready for the march around the street
and into the hall for the performances. After much deliberation the judges announced Kiwi the
winners and a very close second was Kaka. The House Leaders all worked hard to produce amazing
 performances!

 PRIDE Values.

This term we are focusing on Integrity and the two habits of Mind Persisting and Striving for Accuracy

Parents, we have included four quotes about integrity which you may wish to discuss with your children.

Have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right. These are the magic keys to living your life with integrity.

Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching

Integrity is what we do, what we say and what we say we do
A heart needs only its own voice to do what is right

 Term One
During term one we have been learning about "Our amazing learning muscle", the brain.
we now are able to label the different organs of the brain, know their functions and ways to keep our brain healthy. We constructed a play-dough brain before dissecting a lamb's brain.
Below are some of our photos of the dissection and the play-dough creations.

Term 3

This term one of the main focuses has been on our science investigations,
science boards & log books.

Our science boards represent our science investigations and also display
the information we collected in our log books.

Here are some photos of us with our science boards.
